Ace Copper is a gorgeous 10 month old pup who hasn’t quite outgrown the puppy stage. After apartment life wasn’t ideal for Ace , his owners made the difficult decision to surrender him to us so we can help him find a home that better suits his needs.

Ace is a playful and energetic dog. He LOVES to play fetch and keep himself entertained with his toys, but his favorite game is tug of war. He craves attention and interacting with humans and dogs alike.
Ace can be a bit skittish in new situations and with new people, but we think patience and exposure will help him greatly. This little pup has a big voice and will let you know when he’s feeling a little overwhelmed.

Ace will definitely need a yard to run around and get his wiggles out. He is mostly housebroken but when he has an occasional accident he knows to use the training pads. We are working on crate training and even though he is not a big fan, he is already making great progress.

The perfect adopter will be someone who is willing to keep Ace busy and give him lots of time and attention. Another confident dog in the home would be a bonus. All he needs is a little patience and lots of love, but he is already so eager to learn!

This handsome boy has been neutered and received his shots, so he’s ready to meet that perfect family that will love him forever!

Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog? How about being a sponsor or making a donation. Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing. Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies. You can do this specifically for one dog with the sponsor button on their webpage or a general donation on our “How To Help” page. Easy and quick through Pay Pal or your debit/credit card. Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds. All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property. Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval. Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities! Opt to Adopt!
