3.07.08 PUPPIES! Yes, we have a litter of 4, two boys, two girls. Paisano, Paisley, Picasso and Pandora. These adorable babies will be large tweenie or small standards when fully grown, they are now only 5 and a half months old. All have shots, dewormed, are already spayed and neutered and microchipped. I call them my party pooper puppies, hence the "P" names! Paisano and Paisley are outgoing and bossy, whereas Picasso and Pandora are gentle and sweet. Pandora is blind in one eye, but we opted to not remove it at this time. She had a cherry eye in her other eye, but we have that fixed so she's beautiful now! These kids are very "houndy" looking with huge paws and adorable faces. Will get more pictures soon! They won't last long in rescue now that they are ready to choose homes, so fill out the online application form soon! 6.2.08 Paisley and Picasso are pending, but Pandora and Paisano are still available!!! These kids are GREAT dogs! They are big, healthy, sweet and kissy. 06.19.08 Paisano and Pandora are such wonderful pups we are amazed that they are still in rescue. Pandora is blind in one eye but otherwise is a healthy, happy little girl, and Paisano is a big ol' dufus houndy boy. GREAT personalities, temperaments and full of kisses! Please consider one or both of these kids as they are brother and sister siblings. 7.25.08 Paisano and Pandora - the two remaining standard red short haired pups - they are now about 9 months old, both have shots, de-wormed, are already spayed and neutered and micro chipped. I call them my party pooper puppies, hence the "P" names! Paisano is gregarious, outgoing and bossy, whereas Pandora is gentle and sweet. I'd suggest Paisano not be placed with smaller dogs, but he'd do well with a medium or large dog, no cats at all, and since he's not been raised around children, only older kids or adults please. Pandora seems to be good w/ everyone, again, no cats though. Please consider one or both of these kids as they are brother and sister siblings. Update 11.27.08 Paisano is still here waiting for that forever home to find him!! Hes a good boy, but very shy with strangers and needs to be the only dog in the household, unless its a bigger dog that he can safely roughhouse with. Paisano is a big kid, almost a year old now, and about 18 or 19 pounds. Hes used to a doggie door, loves to play with toys, and really needs someone willing to work with his shyness issues once hes used to you, its exhuberant kisses galore! 12.10.08 Update: he should not be around cats or small animals, and would prefer a home with a single lady, no kids, no cats, and no other pets. 1.16.09 Update: Paisano seems to have a sensory integration problem. He is easily overwhelmed by outside stimulation. Noises seem louder & are very upsetting to him. He would prefer a woman only house, preferably just him & a mama with no other pets. A mama who is gone all day at work would be perfect because Paisano needs a lot of down time. Someone quiet, calm, and structured. He is easily overwhelmed & has an extreme reaction when playing with other dogs, so he is better off alone. In a quiet house with a predictable routine, Paisano will be a great pet. Video to come of his progress with his very own "dog whisperer" foster mom! 8.1.09 Paisano is a two year old standard doxie weighing in around 20 lbs. He has big floppy hound ears and dilute red fur. He loves people and other dogs. Pai loves to play, race around, and sit on your lap to get kisses while you watch TV. Pai has overcome his traumatic past and is now a cheerful, family boy. Pai likes to go for long walks in the neighborhood and has no trouble keeping up for miles. He likes toys, especially ones he can destuff and loves to eat figs.
