Lenny

Happy Tails to Lenny & Curly Sue

Lenny met a girl named Curly Sue that would change his life forever! Her laid-back, easy-going gentle behavior set the example for Lenny and helped him with some of his emotional anxiety. Their Foster Mom Sue Long, showered them both with love and kindness. A family had been longing to adopt Lenny for a long time but had to wait until he was ready – both medically and emotionally. During one of the family meet-and-greets, Lenny and Curly Sue were visited by many people, being held, petted, gently passed around and loved on. They both loved it and handled the meeting well because the family was kind and reassuring. Two weeks later, the family returned with their own two rescued dachshund and it was heartwarming and a fun-for-all to see them all interacting together in the backyard. The family that had been patiently waiting and loved Lenny for so long, had now fallen in love with Curly Sue! Lenny would go to his new forever home with a friend at his side and TWO dachshunds got their forever home together. What an amazing happy tail - two tails for everyone!

Lady Laurel

Hi,
Just wanted to pass on a Happy Tails. We adopted Lady Laurel (now just "Lady"). She was an owner surrender in Brownsville, TX back in April. We adopted her from ddtrx and immediately fell in love. She loves to play ball, give kisses and cuddle on the couch. Our other Diamond Dachshund we adopted 8 years ago (Cinnamon) gets along fine with Lady and they play all the time. Lady has definitely found her forever home.

Chris & Lori Blount

Leo

Leo has a very independent and dominant personality for such a tiny little fellow. He is also an absolutely wonderful kissy and playful little boy! Leo has been well cared for his entire life but needed a home with no children. Leo's strong personality is evident in his likes and dislikes, not to mention his demanding attention of his humans! He is only 14 months of age, and a wee little man who weighs only 7.5 pounds. He's a beautiful short haired red male. He wanted (no, he demanded!) and received, a home that would love and respect his impish personality!

Logan

Logan - I absolutely adored Logan while he was with me in rescue. Such an absolute joy to have him stay with me! Logan is a big ol' teddy bear who was frightened of men and children. He found his 'soulmate' when Margaret decided to adopt him, and now they have each other to concentrate on and love! He has a wonderful happy home with a mom who adores every fiber of Logan's being, and he is reciprocating that love every day! I'm so glad that this big red man has found the home of his dreams!
