My family adopted Rocky V from DDRTX. He bonded to me well but didn't like anyone else in the family. DDRTX volunteers helped us with his behavior after adoption with advice and encouragement. with love, understanding and assistance, we were able to help him work out his previous life's issues. It just took time. We've had him about 8 months now and he is a great family dog.
Gidget the flying Nun!! OMG... check out the ears on this little bitty tiny lady! Gidget came into rescue with a mouthful of nasty teeth that had to be removed despite her young age. She lost 35 teeth (has 7 left!). She's spayed, current on everything, chipped and ready to go to a new home!! We think she's about 5 or 6 but she acts like she's only 2 years old! Tiny kid, only about 6 or7 pounds of cuteness that will keep you laughing and shaking your head over her silly antics. Gidgy is in a foster home and appears to be well housetrained, will use dog door, sleeps in crate or in your bed, eats hard dry dog food despite losing so many teeth! This kid has a GREAT temperament and loves kids, cats other dogs.
I know! stunningly gorgeous! Major is a black and cream longhaired tweenie boy who has been well cared for and is great friends with little Rocco. Major is 17 months old, weighs 12 pounds, is fully vetted and healthy as a horse! Him and Rocco wrestle around and are having a ball barking and playing when they see the goats. He'll need leash and housetraining, but I foresee this intelligent boy being a fabulous family member to just about any home!
You're going to fall in love with Rocco and his buddy Major Max! Rocco is a longhaired mini black and cream dapple boy. Seriously! He's incredibly beautiful. He's only 16 months old, weighs only 7.5 pounds! He's learning doggie door fast and wrestles around with his friend, Major Max (wait til you see them!). Rocco is fully vetted, hw negative, neutered, and chipped. He will need housetraining and leash training, which he'll learn quick since he's so smart and eager to please.
LUV this girl! I couldn't say no... I tried, I failed! Pepper is a black and tan Piebald shorthaired cutie that SMILES! She has lots of "ticking" or spots, hence the peppery look. Her mommy was Katie, another black and tan piebald who was adopted from here a year ago. Pepper was born in October of 2007, so she's only 2 and a half right now. She goes to vet this coming week, so will update more about pretty Pepper soon.
